This is Jupitor - we can see 4 of the 8 moons it has.
Nah...just a 7 inch telescope...but still a heavenly view. The camera didn't do this justice- I have to figure out how to adjust the sensitivity so I could have at least captured the streak across the face of Jupitor. The moons are not visible to the naked eye- but in this telescope it was amazing.
This is the closest Jupitor will be for another 12 years.

WOW! This is very cool. I forgot this was going on, and I'm happily content to feel somewhat connected to the heavens by proxy, through these pictures. :) Thanks for sharing!
