A potpourri of life's little experiences that we usually don't pay attention to but find them interesting when we discover them.

Melting point

Can't imagine it- but it is only 3:30pm in the afternoon and the thermometer says 100 degrees!
The official temperature at the airport was 95 degrees but they say the higher in altitude the hotter it's going to get until a certain point- we are closer to the western Cascades than the airport- and the airport is nearer the water...

Unbelievable!

The squash litterally knocked my socks off!
The bottom of this sock was stitched together- but the size of this squash just blew it open- WOW!

Talk about King size?

Grandma picking blueberries with GrandKids

I guess 7ft peas dwarf a little 3ft grand daughter...

The squash wasn't behaving so I socked'em!

Be careful what you wish for:

I just wanted a healthy garden...but WOW-
The Tomatos got pea'd on...
The Peppers are getting squashed...
We can't keep a-head of the lettuce...
This is from just a few moments ago: (5:45pm July 12th)

Dragon fly post

It's 3-D heaven:

Get your eyes ready for some eye-popping photos. There is actually a website that sells the 3-D (7-degree) prism glasses. If you come to my house I have a set...and you will probably want to get your own and have fun doing 3-D photos. Enjoy!!!
(There is a movie clip of a back yard visitor beyond the 3-D photos.)

This Dragon Fly had the best seat in the house. We would see it dart from this post up to catch some meandering, unsuspecting bug. I wish I had a camera that could do some high speed photography- the acrobatics are amazing.

Unusual Vegie Garden

You can see how crowded things are in the garden this year.
I'm standing right behind the peas, and in front of the peas are the tomatos:

Here's Mom, same place.

There are Jalepeno^^^^peppers right here in front of this spaghetti squash.
Under the peas are some carrots.
I really think the carrots got pea'd on...the peppers are getting squashed and we just can't keep a-'head' of the lettuce.

I think we have a very confused garden this year.
The Blueberries are right behind the pea patch:

We wanted to protect the Strawberries from the birds- but probably put them too close to the peas as well:
